Software QA Engineer

About the role

The QA Engineer is responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications, APIs, and AI-enabled systems within the TP.ai FAB ecosystem. This role is integral to guaranteeing that software releases meet global performance, usability, and compliance standards, contributing to secure, stable, and scalable product deployments. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and AI engineers to implement automated testing pipelines and continuous quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.  

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for APIs, web applications, and AI components 
• Validate functionality, scalability, and performance across front-end, back-end, and integration layers 
• Conduct regression, load, and system testing prior to production releases 
• Build and maintain automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) 
• Collaborate with engineers to define quality gates, error-handling rules, and observability metrics, and ensure test coverage across microservices, APIs, and data pipelines 
• Identify, document, and track bugs through defect management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar) and support root-cause analysis 
• Maintain clear QA documentation, including test cases, scripts, and quality reports 
• Work closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and AI Product Managers during agile sprints, and contribute to sprint planning, release validation, and UAT 
• Validate adherence to Responsible AI, data privacy, and Teleperformance security frameworks, and support compliance with SOC2, GDPR, and global data protection standards 
• Participate in release audits and readiness reviews for production deployment 

What we are looking for

• 3–6 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or automation engineering 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; ISTQB, Selenium, or Cypress certifications are desirable 
• Proven experience testing web applications, APIs, or data pipelines in cloud-based environments 
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, Newman) 
• Experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL) and test scripting (Python, JavaScript, or Java) 
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) 
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust) and test data management 
• Understanding of AI/ML system validation and dataset verification preferred 
• Detail-oriented and methodical, with strong ownership of quality outcomes and comfort in fast-paced, agile, DevSecOps teams 

Why this role is different

You will validate quality across a genuinely AI-enabled product, from classic API and load testing through to AI/ML system validation, rather than testing a conventional application stack alone. 

The team

You will work within TP.ai's engineering organisation, partnering daily with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and AI Product Managers across the FAB development lifecycle.
